Insulation was then blown in the house sides and the attic floor. We later replaced the clapboard with new mahogany clapboard that was oil-primed on both sides. The entire exterior was then caulked and 100 percent oil-primed.
New storm doors and triple-track window storms were placed over their original doors and windows. We discourage owners from using modern door or window replacements on these historic homes as the original windows are an important part of the home's architectural integrity. In Spring 2003, we will complete the exterior painting. |
